Here is a personal message from Shane:
Hi there! I’m Shane Eash, born and raised in Lancaster, County, PA. I’m fascinated by history. It’s insightful, educational, and impactful. But it troubles me that most people see history as worthless names and dates on a page. It’s so much more than that. It’s flesh and blood people with intricate stories.
I agree with Rudyard Kipling when he said, “If history were taught in the form of stories, it would never be forgotten.”  That’s why I started ShaneScribe. Combining my love for history and storytelling, my goal is to encourage, inspire, challenge and educate. I want to remind others of where we came from, showing the good and the bad of the past, and the hand of God throughout the centuries.
George Orwell said, “The most effective way to destroy people is to deny and obliterate their own understanding of their history.” That’s the exact opposite of what I’m trying to achieve with ShaneScribe. My goal is to build up people and expand their understanding of history. It’s vital that we remember and understand our history so we can learn from it.

When writing about history in an inside view, I use storytelling to paint a vivid picture. Much of what I write is in the vein of historical fiction, but I take pains to leave the essence of truth intact. I never stray from the realm of plausibility, while staying true to history.
So that’s what ShaneScribe is about: history told through storytelling. I share fascinating stories and insightful facets of history from all centuries. Let’s be fascinated and inspired together!
